Riverstone’s story begins over 70 years ago, when our Founder, Peter Inglese arrived in Yarra Valley in 1950, sailing from Italy, as a young boy with nothing but dream. Growing up in Healesville, Peter understood the potential of the cool climate and uniquely fertile soils of the Yarra Valley in which elegant and perfect grapes could be grown.
Our History
Riverstone's journey began over 70 years ago with its founder, Peter Inglese. After moving from Italy to the Yarra Valley as a young boy in 1950, Peter cultivated a deep appreciation for the region's unique qualities. Growing up in Healesville, he recognized the cool climate and fertile soils as ideal for producing high-quality grapes. This vision became the cornerstone of Riverstone, shaping its legacy in winemaking.
